Homemade Tuesdays - Steak

OK, So admittedly the picture above is most definately NOT the Steak we cooked.

Clearly ours looked even better than that. Obviously.

Anyway, the truth is I forgot to take a picture before we shovelled it in so had to get one from the internet BUT the point is, we cooked Steak. With New Potatos, Mushrooms, Onions and Sweetcorn to be precise.

Topsham

So I am going to come right out with it and say that the picture below does not give a very good indication as to just how beautiful this place is.

Topsham is this quirky little town just outside of Exeter, it is almost hard to believe that people actually live there, with its Doctors Surgery inside a Church Hall and its 'everyone knows everyone' atmosphere, Topsham is definately the place to be on a sunny Sunday afternoon :-)

Jay left for Butlins today, to say goodbye? He took me to Ghandi's.

Not-So Homemade Tuesdays

The plan? Spaghetti Bolognese.

The action? Several trips around our local Supermarket.

The reality? A good old jar of sauce.

One Quiet Drink

Yet again, the after work drink seemed to have turned into some sort of carnage.

After finishing a pint at our local after work Jay remembered that his Friends were infact out up our neck of the woods, so obviously, we had to join.

Now, I had never met Jay's friends previous to this, so first impressions and all that jazz..

Lets just say it was a good evening.

And we both paid for it the next day.

The Emirates

Although I have primarily been the one to update this blog so far, Jay will be and wants to update too, the slight confession here? All these posts have been posted in one evening to get us up to current times.. A slight cheat I know.

Anyway so on Thursday 13th May, Jay was given the chance to play at the Emirates Stadium. This is a post I will most definately let him tuck his teeth into, either here or on his own page The Green Ginger (Which, incidently, he has not yet got around to posting on so maybe this will give him a little push in the right direction ;-) )

Homemade Tuesdays

Now here's the plan.

Tuesday = Homemade.

Just to clarify, I have no problem with the use of jars, however, I would really love to learn to cook.

Week One was Mexican.

I think Jay would agree that it was 'Change your Knicker' good.

Nightmare On Elm Street

Jay and I visit the pictures a lot.

I'm a bit of a geek and LOVE the buzz in the atmosphere and find the whole experience rather exciting really, from the King Size Coke to the VIP Seats. I Love it all.

Anyway, so we went to see Nightmare On Elm Street. One of Jay's surprises, may I just add :-)

I enjoyed it a lot. There is not much more to say than that, in fact I am only posting about it at all as it is the first film we have been to see as a couple.. I mentioned I was a geek right?

Thursday 6th May

The week we decided to make a go of it was a rollercoaster to say the least.

Now, I don't want this blog to be all doom and gloom about the past 6 months as we would not be where we are now if that time had not past BUT it is important for you to know that we have over come a lot to get here..

However, we DID get here, and this is where it all began..

The Oriental Buffet

Now, I LOVE Chinese food, like, boaderline obsessed with it.

So as you can probably imagine, I couldn't possibly think of a better place to share this memory than somewhere that supplies you with limitless amounts of oriental dishes, mounds of Rice and Noodles and the smell of Chicken Satay leaking up my nostrils. YUM.

So, Thursday 6th May - The day we made it official and I think I speak for both of us when I say, we simply could not be happier.. :-)

The Beginning

So, to cut a long story short..

In August 2009 I started work for a large company in the UK.

*Cue Jay*

Now I am pretty sure I would be right in saying that there was an instant attraction. For me anyway. I think he found me a little bizarre if anything, making me all the more determined to have my wicked way (Haha..)

Right, so as I said, I am going to try and cut a VERY long story short and just say that we text a lot, hung out a lot, had a bit of kissy kissy every now and again and FINALLY got to the stage we are at now.

A couple.

And a bloody good one at that.
