The Hen Party

Yes - Although my severe lack of posting may say otherwise, we are still together..!

The last couple of weeks have been one hell of a rollercoaster to say the least, however, we have come out the other end stronger than ever, at that makes me very happy, I must say.. ;-)

There are a lot of changes taking place at work at the moment which is meaning rather stressful times for the both of us but other than that we are back to Our Perfect Little Bubble..
So, The Hen Party!!

Last weekend I met the whole of Jay's family (I Italic 'whole' as I wish for you to realise quite how literally I mean this)

When we first arrived there was only a select few there (Mum, Nan, Niece etc etc..) come 6pm there were 32 of us. Wow. What an evening.

The majority of the time was spent finger counting bad jokes, laughing with Jay's niece and her friend (people at this point were questioning if I was a guest of Jay's or his 14 year old family member..) and eating lots of delicious food..

What a lovely evening ;-)

On the Sunday, Jay, his niece and I went to a Pottery Place to do a spot of painting. Now this was suppose to be a cheap but fun trip.
Not so much.
40 quid later we each have a hand painted something or other which we are picking up on Sunday.. Pictures soon.. depending on how they turn out that is...

Homemade Tuesdays - Steak

OK, So admittedly the picture above is most definately NOT the Steak we cooked.

Clearly ours looked even better than that. Obviously.

Anyway, the truth is I forgot to take a picture before we shovelled it in so had to get one from the internet BUT the point is, we cooked Steak. With New Potatos, Mushrooms, Onions and Sweetcorn to be precise.

YUM..

Topsham

So I am going to come right out with it and say that the picture below does not give a very good indication as to just how beautiful this place is.

Topsham is this quirky little town just outside of Exeter, it is almost hard to believe that people actually live there, with its Doctors Surgery inside a Church Hall and its 'everyone knows everyone' atmosphere, Topsham is definately the place to be on a sunny Sunday afternoon :-)

Below is Jay fulfilling a dare ;-)

And me being my usual geeky self..

Not-So Homemade Tuesdays

The plan? Spaghetti Bolognese.

The action? Several trips around our local Supermarket.

The reality? A good old jar of sauce.

Maybe next week hey..

One Quiet Drink

Yet again, the after work drink seemed to have turned into some sort of carnage.

After finishing a pint at our local after work Jay remembered that his Friends were infact out up our neck of the woods, so obviously, we had to join.

Now, I had never met Jay's friends previous to this, so first impressions and all that jazz..

Lets just say it was a good evening.

And we both paid for it the next day.
